My arrow is steady, my breathing slow, my target oblivious. He is standing in line at a grocery store, absentmindedly reading his milk carton. The line shuffles forward and as my target shifts, my arrow shifts with him. I’m almost ready. She steps in line behind, dropping her purse. He notices, bending down to pick it up. I loose my arrow and it hits him at the base of his back. He pauses for a moment before looking at her face for the first time. He smiles, she smiles, and my job is done. The rest is up to them.
