Recepi: Cinnamon Rolls


Ingredients:

A:
3.5 cups / 440 g flour
2 tbsp / 30 g sugar
1 tsp/ 5 g salt

2 eggs
2/3 cup / 160 ml lukewarm milk


B:
25 g fresh yeast  or   2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1 tsp / 5g brown sugar
1/3 cup / 80 ml lukewarm milk

4 tbsp/ 56 g melted butter

C:
5tbs / 70 g butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup / 100 g packed light brown sugar
2 tbs / 13g ground cinnamon

D:
1cup / 120 g powdered sugar
1 tsp / 5g vanilla extract
2 tbsp / 30ml milk

Methods:

  1. Mix together ingredient B.
  2. Stir to combine ingredient A and B.
  3. Add in melted butter. Mix till you get a perfect dough. Add in extra flour if the dough is too sticky.
  4. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, stir to combine C ingredients until a paste obtained.
  5. After 10 minutes, roll dough for 1/2 inch.
  6. Spread the cinnamon paste on the dough. Roll the dough and cut around 3 cm each.
  7. Arrange the cut rolls on a baking pan with 3 cm space between them. Cover the pan with a plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size
  8. Bake at 180 degress (prehest 180 degress) oven in 15-20 minutes until lightly browned.
  9. Stir together ingredients D until a sauce is obtained. Pour the sauce on the baked rolls.
  10. Serve warm with a cup of milk.

Resepi: Satay Ayam

Satay Ayam
The Ingredients:

Seekor ayam (Ambil isi sahaja, ambil juga kulit, potong dadu) - boleh dapat dalam 40 cucuk

Bahan kisar:
5 btg serai
5 biji bawang merah
4 ulas bawang putih
2 inci kunyit hidup
5 tbsp minyak masak
3 cawan gula (it is a lot)
1 tbsp jintan halus
Serbuk kunyit (andai ingin tambah lebih warna kuning)

3 batang serai (diikat, akan guna untuk merenjis minyak semasa membakar)
Setengah cawan minyak masak (untuk drenjis sewaktu membakar)

Step by step:

  1. Blend all the ingredients together.
  2. Perap bersama ayam semalaman (lagi lama lagi sedap). Never put them in the fridge.
  3. Cucuk dalam 5 isi ayam pada sebatang lidi. Kulit di tengah (the part that I love most).
  4. Bakarrrrr.

Tips:

  • Rendam dahulu batang lidi dalam airsupaya tak cepat patah/ hangus semasa bakar.
  • Perapkan ayam semalaman, jangan masuk dalam peti ais (kerana akan menyebabkan air ayam keluar dan bahan perap tidak meresap ke dalam ayam)
  • Garam dilarang sama sekali, garam akan mengelakkan perapan meresap ke dalam ayam.
  • Gula akan menghasilkan satay yang berkilat dan manis.
